Its senior enforcement office, Peter Moore, said: "It is vital that we get the message throughout that unlicensed medications can be harmful.

"These kinds of products being sold, generally online, have gone through no quality control and there can be no guarantee about their security.

"You just do not understand what you are taking or the conditions these products were made in. More significantly, you do not know the result drugs like this might have on your health."
