Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
Robot vacuum cleaners and mops are the most efficient method to quickly clean up mess. The top robot vacuums and mops I test had superior mapping and navigation. They picked up Cheerios and fake dog turds, as well as wires that were tangled.
You can also schedule cleaning tasks through an app and monitor their progress.
- Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
If you're looking for the top robot vacuum and mop combo that has cutting-edge features consider the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. This model of the highest quality is quick and agile and can pick up dirt such as human hair and pet hair almost perfectly in our Debris Pickup Test. It also has a smart-looking app interface with a miniature map of your house and a few on-screen buttons to allow manual control.
The S8's Dirt Detection Technology enables it to change the cleaning mode according to dirt levels. It will clean its mopping pads more frequently if it encounters dust. Carpeted areas get priority for mopping using a damp mopping pad.
The mop roller has several other clever features, including docks that connects to the plumbing system in your home to wash and clean it without you having to manually refill the mop. With the built-in voice assistant in the S8 you can make use of voice commands to control room cleaning modes and granular control using only your voice.
- Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those seeking a hands-free robot vacuum that can also mop. It's among the many combination robot vacuums that have mopping features that are also offered at a lower price than the competition.
As with most robovacs the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get it started. This includes setting up an account on the app and connecting the device to your WiFi network. Once that's done, though, the robot can start mopping and vacuuming with ease.
It's important to keep in mind that the mapping process could take a while, and the Yeedi Cube may need a couple of attempts before it can get a good picture of your space. Additionally the detection of objects can be unpredictable and it was able to skim over furniture and other obstacles but was stuck on a loose tassel rug and had to turn its back to release itself. These aren't major issues and the Yeedi Cube remains a great choice for those who need an all-purpose cleaning tool that can do everything.
- Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete provides a three-in-one cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping features an inclination that is similar to hand scrubbing, which results in floors that are actually cleaned and not just being swept. And its detachable stick vacuum is a game-changer that allows you to reach spots even robot vacuums can't.
This model is essentially the same as the popular X2 Omni, but with an increased suction power of 8700Pa, and a few additional clever features. The upgraded RGBD sensor will learn to understand your home's surroundings better and provide dynamic obstacle avoidance. The app's smart features allow you to modify a range of settings including AI cleanings and virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo also has self-preparation. Both the robot vacuum and mop return to their charging base at the end of each task to clean their pads, empty the dust bins, and place debris in bags that self-seal. This helps keep the system clean and prevents allergens from returning to the system. Its battery life is sufficient to clean large areas without needing a charge mid-clean.
- Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is a premium robot vacuum and mop that offers impressive features at an affordable price. It has a powerful 8,000 Pa suction, a rotating floor brush for carpets, and a fantastic obstacle-avoiding. It also has a unique mopping method, which uses a roller continuously filled with water to pick dirt and place it in the water that is dirty tank.
Its navigation technology was effective and was able to navigate close to walls without crashing, and avoiding steps. It was unable to handle small particles and did not always clear the thresholds in rooms. The operating noise level is also high, so it may be less of a set-and-forget model than other models.
The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, comes with docking technology that allows it to refill its clean water, empty the dust bin as well as dry and wash the mop, and then empty its mop pad. This makes maintenance simple and allows the S1 Pro spend more time cleaning floors according to an established schedule. Eufy's app lets you control all its functions. It gives you an easy overview and a variety of options for configuration.
- Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum/mower is among the top mowers and vacuums on the market. It delivers impressive vacuuming and mopping results. Its LIDAR mapping sensor can recognize furniture legs and other obstacles with good precision, and the application lets users fine-tune the map coverage, set no-go zones, and modify cleaning preferences. The Freo's main roller brush is also designed to prevent hair from wrapping around it, which can be a major issue with many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode also impresses, with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that spin at 180 RPM while applying up to 12N downward pressure. The mopping system also includes smart carpet detection, lifting the pads up when they're close to soft surfaces to avoid contaminating them.
The all-in-one docking station serves as a hands-free center for maintenance that is able to wash and dry the mops, and refilling them with detergent and water. The base station also features integrated dust processing that compacts dust for seven weeks of hassle-free operation unlike conventional Robot Vacuum Mops vacuums which empty their dust bins each time they need to be cleaned.
- S10
A few hundred dollars less than the S8 and this robot does an excellent job of keeping my office clean and can also tackle the corners of my tiny apartment. It utilizes a laser mapping and camera to create a 3D-map of your home, so it knows what to stay clear of. It has an object/obstacle detector that can avoid things like dog bowls and toys (but not Poop) unlike most vacuums.
Other fantastic features include a self-emptying dustbin and a mop that is self-washing, adjustable to water temperature and a side-reaching mops that can reach areas that other mops miss. You can also alter the settings for each room, and set up cleaning schedules.
It features the same multi-room smart mapping as the S8 and can distinguish between laminate and carpets, with high-pile rug. And, if you're looking to save time, it can skip cleaning rooms that aren't filthy. If you have a variety of flooring options in your home and don't want to spend more money on a Roborock that comes with advanced mapping capabilities this is a great option.
- Q5 Pro
This robot is a great option if you are looking for a versatile robot that can do both regular maintenance and touch-ups for wet messes. It comes with a variety of features including the ability to empty the dustbin on its own and the water refill dock, as well as customizable settings in the app. It is surprisingly quiet and can easily maneuver around furniture legs or socks. However, it can't take care of tangled rug tassels and it's battery drains a little faster than other models in our tests.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a powerhouse that comes with an impressive suction and easy automation in a sleek design. It wasn't as efficient as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our tests of vacuuming however, it did well. It has a range of cleaning options, ranging from the quiet mode with low power for light debris to the incredibly powerful "Turbo mode" for carpeted areas. It can even be programmed to automatically remove and reattach its mop pads, without getting your carpets wet.
- K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is an excellent robot mop and vacuum cleaner that can be used in smaller areas. It's very quiet and fast and is a great choice for maneuvering around tight spaces. It is also very good in removing pet hair from carpeting.
It's smaller than its rivals however it doesn't sacrifice any features. It has a decent amount of suction power and it is able to take a picture of each object it picks up (i.e. chew toys, socks) and mark them as 'not found in the app, so that they won't be picked up during future cleanings. The photos are secure, and aren't tied to your account.
It is great at vacuuming, but it's not so great in mopping. It makes use of disposable wipes that clip onto the bottom of the bot and drags them across your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal that have reservoirs of water, and can automatically wash and attach their mopheads.
